Geordie Ryder

Geordie Ryder first started training at the DoJang in January 2005. He has been training for about four years. Geordie began his teaching experience as a dark blue belt and has been assisting instructors since then. He has participated in several local tournaments and two state level tournaments. Geordie is currently training for his black belt and will be testing in late December this year (2008). He also is currently studying the art of Jiu-Jitsu here at the DoJang.

 


 


James Carter

James Carter earned his 1st Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido in June of 2007 at the age 15. James has been a student of Tae Kwon Do beginning at the age of six at Black Mountain Recreation Center under Master Lee. At the age of eight, James began taking lessons with Master Dan Jackson at Black Mountain Recreation Center, and has been with Master Jackson for seven consecutive years.

James was one of the first students to begin attending classes at The DoJang World Training Center in the fall of 2003. James Carter has attended over ten tournaments, three of which were AAU Tae Kwon Do state competitions and placed in each state competition. James Carter is trained in the long staff, and the Kali/Escrima Sticks. James enjoys all aspects of martial arts training, because it stresses respect, technical skill, dedication, and conditioning through meditation, fighting, forms, and sparring.
